2022 Board Candidate – Henry Canitz
Vice President Industry & Market Strategy
Why do you want to serve as a director of F4SS?
I am a supply chain professional who deeply believes in the F4SS mission to transform external supply chains within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Based on my experience as a supply chain professional I believe the single biggest supply chain opportunity today lies in transforming the supplier ecosystem through digitization, real-time visibility and dynamic collaboration. F4SS is squarely positioned to help lead this transformation and I can’t think of a better way for me to help than to serve as a director of F4SS.
What F4SS activities have you been involved in?
I developed and led the March 2021 F4SS Virtual Workshop / Webinar – RETHINK, RETOOL, REINVENT: Deepening Collaboration to Increase Responsiveness & Improve OTIF. I attended PackExpo in September 2021 and supported F4SS by manning the F4SS booth. I attended the F4SS Spring 2022 Virtual Conference. I attended several F4SS webinars in the past 2 years.
What does F4SS do well?
F4SS does a great job connecting members of the supply ecosystem, facilitating discussion, enabling collaboration, establishing standards, educating through industry best practices and thought leadership, and empowering ecosystem improvements.
What can F4SS improve?
I believe F4SS could improve its awareness in its target markets through an integrated marketing campaign. A greater awareness of the value of F4SS to its target audience would help the organization grow and enable even more valuable offerings. F4SS can also leverage its partnership, now under the umbrella of IoPP, and the relationship with the Contract Manufacturing & Packaging Association (CPA), where my organization, Nulogy, has held a board position previously and helps lead the Education Committee. In short, there are synergies here that have not yet been deployed and can be greatly improved to help the membership.
Have you served or are you serving on a board elsewhere?
I served on the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Annual Conference Planning Board for 2 years.
Any other information you wish to share?
I believe transforming the external supply chain is one of the final frontiers in supply chain management. I would be honored to apply my experience and knowledge to help F4SS achieve and exceed its goals. As per my bio below, I bring a unique perspective having worked as a supply chain practitioner in several industries including food (Conagra Foods), Industrial Consumer Products (Brunswick Corporation), and Third Party Logistics (Verizon Logistics). I also have 20+ years of leadership experience with software companies (SAP, QAD, Oracle/JDE, Infor Nexus, Logility) and now with Nulogy. In summary, I can empathize with F4SS’ membership, while also knowing what the future of the supply chain could look like and why F4SS’ mission is so important.
