Foundation for Supply Chain Solutions Announces Changes to its Board of Directors

Group Announces New Membership Directive.

Saddle River, NJ: January, 2020 — The Foundation for Strategic Sourcing (F4SS), a non-profit organization that has been the leading voice in the FMCG/CPG contract manufacturing industry for more than a decade, announced the addition of new members to the organization’s Board of Directors. By means of election, F4SS welcomes Thom Campbell, CSO, Capacity, LLC and Annette Saenger, Business Development Manager, Pharma Cosmetics, SGS North America. Chris Taylor, CEO and Founder, Crescent Corporation, was re-elected for an additional term.

In addition to the elected Board members, there were several additional changes to Board: Oscar Uzcategui, Global Sourcing Senior Director, GOJO Industries, replaces recently retired Michele Cerminaro, Global Sourcing Vice President, GOJO Industries and Mike Engesser, External Supply Chain Strategic Initiatives Leader, General Mills, replaces Paul Blacklock, Director Agile and Natural/Organic Supply Chains, General Mills, due organizational restructuring.

Newly elected officers include Tom Kent, Senior Director of Global External Manufacturing at Kimberly-Clark as F4SS Board Vice Chair; Chris Taylor, CEO and Founder of Crescent Corporation as F4SS Board Treasurer and Saenger as F4SS Board Secretary.

Steve Weinstein, Head of Supply Chain at Zarbee’s Naturals – a division of Johnson & Johnson, will continue in his role as F4SS Board Chair. Click here for the full Board of Directors line-up and their respective roles.

The F4SS Board of Directors is formed with the interest in maintaining diversity between branded companies and their suppliers, food and non-food segmentation and demographic representation. Candidates must be F4SS members willing to serve a 3-year term to continue to drive the direction and success of F4SS.

“The balance of expertise within the F4SS Board of Directors is a direct reflection of the F4SS member base,” said Weinstein. “The F4SS Board is seated to ensure the needs and issues faced by our members are appropriately represented. We look forward to the contributions our newest Board members will make.”

Among the first order of business for the new Board is the introduction of enhanced and inclusive membership options to attract small and mid-size companies. Effective 2021, a new membership tier for companies under $5MM in revenue, as well as a one-year trial membership, available to members of any size with a few limited restrictions, have been introduced.

“The Board anticipates the new lower dues tier will attract more smaller and mid-size companies to join us,” said Weinstein. “We can learn a lot from start-ups and/or indy brands and vice-versa. The trial membership will allow larger companies who may have one team or department interested but lack funding in the initial year for full company membership. With F4SS membership access, they will be able to make an educated decision with time to allocate funds moving forward.”
